Expanding GearShift.

Hey guys!
I think its time I put GearShift out there and began expanding on my stores. I think Im doing quite well and am really proud of the progress Ive made in my time here on SL. I still remember my humble beginnings of peddling shirts for free at 'The Block' all those months ago. Zab, Keishii, DT, Noam and Posy were all really supportive and gave me a lot of great advice starting out. I believe that my small success in part is due to their guidance and their willingness to give someone new a chance.

Right now Im hoping to expand my brand. Im looking to find more stores where I could have GearShift. I was hoping that maybe you guys could maybe offer suggestions on places you think would be a good fit for my store. I really dont know alot of the best places and feel a lil embarrassed that I havent explored enough in SL. ^^;

Or even if you know good spaces for land. A mainstore has been on my mind for the longest time. I think it would be great to have a space I can call my own. I think now that Im doing well enough to support something like this its something I should follow up. XD I really have NO experience in land what-so-ever and this would be completely new to me. Im sure I'll have to be sat down and have the whole thing explained with diagrams and pie-charts.

If you guys have any advice or suggestions, please follow up with comment. And remember! - A Kitty is for life, not just for Christmas.

Peace out pretty kitties!
Don

I'm with you Don. I'm hoping to build my own store, but I'm clueless on land. Pump Noam for info!

Honestly, I'm having such a shitty time with my Linden land I think that dreamland is the way to go.

I'll ask my girls who they've liked working with. Also ask Dis where he got his new store land because he's very happy with it.

Don, I'll ask Dark if she's got a spot for you. You'd fit in great in DC.

I've got a friend, Gudshu Udal who makes the cutest retro glasses and shades. He's always looking to swippy swap and pimp out his specs, so he might be someone you could consider.
Happy Christmas!!

Hai Don ^_^ I'm not a big believer in renting mall space. I think that most people want to shop at a main location, where they can find everything instead of a place that has "50 prims worth of stuff b/c that's what the rental agreement says" (takes breath)

If you don't wanna buy land & have tier, I've gone though Hiro Queso & had a good experience w/ him for over 6 months. He's a little more lax on the rules & has sims where you can live AND have a store together... or just space for a store. I'd be more than happy to help if you need it!

I was blog browsing and ran into your blog- You draw awesome :)

Anyway, I thought I`d leave ya a little comment. The person above me says she is not a fan of mall space. I am! I always put out a land mark giver to to make sure people know I do have a main store with many more products and variety there. I certaintly believe a chunk of my customers would not have found me was it not for renting vendor space at malls/clubs.

So, if you are looking to get your name out there more I suggest you go and rent some vendor spot at a place with (real, not cmaping chairs) high traffic. If you are not making your rent back then pull out; but it`s worth a try.

People won`t always be able to find your store but you can find them, and you can do that by renting vendor space where traffic lingers.

Here are some places I rent at and make nice profit.
-Club Cold Fusion
-Sanctuary Rock
-Elements @ Goddess of Love

Hope that helps.
